About Me
Michael Riley is a solo practitioner who provides professional counseling services in and around Aurora, MO. He is native to southwest Missouri, graduating from Aurora High School in 2004. Michael received his Masters in Counseling and Masters in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, and his Bachelors from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Shortly after completing his bachelor degree Michael decided to focus on Mental Health. He has worked in a variety of mental health and social services occupations including a homeless shelter, a behavioral health hospital, youth and adult residential, and community counseling. Michael has experience with both adults and adolescents who have been dealt difficult situations leading to radical behaviors or thinking patterns.
Michael uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to help people identify and resolve their problems. Michael has experience with, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, counseling families, grief, anger management, and behavioral problems.
